I was a firefighter, and am fully aware of the past fire dangers of city life back in candlelight days. I say that, and now this; I find the repeating fire narrative of every major city in U.S. to be far fetched. The Chicago fire alone started in multiple places, and fire broke out at same time in outlying regions as well. I know I just triggered some folks, not my intention. I love your channel!
On the subject of fires, the Peshtigo fire is worth remembering. It happened in Wisconsin on the same night as the Chicago fire. It was much bigger and killed far more people, but the Chicago media didn’t cover it — for obvious reasons — so many Americans are unaware of it.
All modern instances of large portions of a city burning down are backed by exotic weapons being used. Same circumstances for the past, they just weren’t as exotic.
